MY finishing thoughts on the story was that it was a good story to read in that it showed you how life was like back then down in the south. Also it had many different things going on that tried to keep you interested. Like the things with boo and the trial. plus the little things like going to school and stuff. the trial was by far my favorite part because i was getting bored and the trial got me right back into the book. I thought i was right in the book sitting in the black area of seating in the book up in the top level. overall the end of the book made me see the book in its whole and i ended up enjoying it.

symbol blog

I would have to say in chapters 7 and 8 the most important symbol would have to be boo radleys house. the main subject of those chapters was that house. mainly becuase they were gettting into more detail about the house and how scout and jem were scared of the house but still dared to go there. Even tho Atticus told them to stay away from boo’s house because they dont need to be bothering him.
200 words trial

Ok the trial was by far the best part of the story. It was so intense to say the least, because i dont know what else to say about it. I thought that i totally felt like i was in the book when i was reading these pages. it didnt even feel like i was reading because i felt like i was sitting right next to scout and jem in the black section of the courtroom. the way that Atticus went through everything that happend and cross-examined everyone. i felt like i was on the edge of my seat. I mean for the people who didnt have a seat, to stand there for hours not moving it crazy it must have been intense. then when the verdict came in and Atticus lost, you were like there is no way. because Atticus had clearly won the case and showed everyone that it was mayella’s father that had done that horrible thing. It was so intese that when mr. gilmer was saying those thing to tom robinson that dill had to leave because he was so sick of the way tom was being treated by mr. gilmer. there was the time we found out the real truth about Dolfus Raymond. that he really wasnt the drunk everybody took him to be. A great section of reading.

Well so far through the story i have been reading more with my brain open more then i should have been. but especially through these chapters i got caught up in the story. because the trial is so intense that you almost feel like your right there, you feel like scout or jem. You feel like your glued to the court and if anyone talks its like there totally disrupting the whole court even tho they are in the top row. I mean the trial is so crazy the way Atticus is taking over that everyone in the room has either one thing or another to say. If your black its “there is no way we loose.” if your white its “wow we might loose this case.” these chapters were by far the best to read.

Well I would just have to say I have enjoyed doing the blogging thing this whole year except for this last quarter I thought there was kind of too much stuff to do. We had to blog right double entry journals do think marks and read the book. It was just kind of a lot of stuff to keep up with. But other then that I like doing the type of blogs were it was a picture or a story and then we had to look into it further then what it ment. I really enjoyed going into detail on most of the things we had to talk about. Or I like the blogging we did on our own books of our choice. I enjoy blogging over writing because my handwriting is terrible. Also when I get into the zone when im typing I can get a lot done. So overall I would have to say I enjoyed the new experience of blogging this year.

Ok well first off ive actually already been to this exhibit. I have photography class and we took a field trip to the exhibit. It was a pretty sweet trip, i liked the picture of the guy from reptile gardens. He had a tux on with a yellow tie and a yellow background, plus the giant yellow snake wrapped around his neck. Another one that i enjoyed was the guy walking down the vacant road and the papers were flying around him. I would have liked the old guy with the trumpet but he had such a menacing look on his face. The Dahl maoutnain exhibit were mr. Jensen won first prize there were some very interesting photos. I personally enjoyed the one were the guy was climbing the giant icicle. I talked to mr. Jensen about his photo and he said he took it in Spain. like somewhere in between towns.

This was back in the middle school time. I went to north middle school and it was winter, and in winter we go into to school right when we get there because its to cold to stand outside. We go in the back way so it leads us right into the lunch room. that is where we sit and wait for school to start. I was walking into the back area of the school with my friend Jamal. He is a black guy, and we can joke around with him but he wont tolerate people using the ‘N’ word around him. Jamal is a really tuff guy, but it takes alot to get him mad. but on this day he wouldnt take it. This kid named Zach called Jamal the ‘N’ word and Jamal got real mad. if he doesnt know the person he doesnt take jokes very well coming from someone he doesnt know, but who does. So Jamal grabbed him held him off the ground up against the fence and asked him, “what the hell did you call me” The kid said it again and jamal threw him clean off the ground against this shed next to the fence. It was one of the craziest things ive ever seen. For one the kid should have never used that word in the first place, its wrong. second Jamal shouldnt have taken the action he did. I think this is like in the “To kill a Mockingbird” when scout beats up her cousin for calling atticus a “nigger lover” she knows atticus said never loose your ahead about what people are saying about him. But the kid should have never pushed it to the point were she got that mad.
basketball

most of the blogging i engaged in was with basketball. I started by going to some blog sites about trade rumors going on in the NBA. I found out that the nets want to have jason kidd traded and the most interested team was the LA LAKERS. Which happens to be my favorite team. The nets want either Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum for the trade, but those are the two players that the lakers do not want to give up. They are willing to offer Jordan farmar, Kwami Brown, and Chris Mihm for the trade. There were not very many other trade rumors going on. There may be a possible three way trade with the blazers and the lakers trade for the nets jason Kidd. I hope the lakers can pull it off they could use the mind of jason kidd.
the black veil

In Nathaniel Hawthorne’s the black veil, you see how the life of a man with the black veil over his face get the attention of the whole town. The town not knowing what his full intentions are for wearing the veil. As a reader you do not fully understand the meaning of the veil either. You must get other peoples thought on the story. Or maby you might have to re-read it yourself. What mr. Hooper is trying to explain to you in the story in my point of view is that everyone has something to hide. whether it be secrets, feeling, or whatever. Those things that we keep hiding from our closest relative and loved ones. So as a metaphor it is like everyone has a black veil over there faces. So he wore a black veil trying to show people that we shouldnt hide our secrets. Or maby he has such bad secrets that they could never be told or let out. Or maby his secret could not be let out until everyone else had let there secrets out and got the black veil off there faces. So maby that is why he covered his veil with his hands when he was bout to die.
